This page contains all the old update information from the main page. Maybe you will be bored enough to read it, maybe you won't. |

| January 3, 2005:
Finally finished up the Jobs/Wizard section with help from Andrea. Also worth noting, I've been getting a lot of emails from different people with their support and help, so thanks for all that you are doing. As mentioned before I have a to do list that I will try to follow and keep up with, so if you have any questions about what updates are upcoming and planned, check there first before you email me. January 1, 2005:
I corrected the zeny cost for upgrading L3 Weapons, and Armor on the Upgrades page thanks to an email from Edward Sandstigm, and also correct the new commission rate with help from WrexSoul. Also corrected an error on the Jobs/Monk page, due to a silly typo on my part. Thanks to sAya for pointing that one out.I've started to update some of the skills for sages but the holidays have been pretty busy for me, and I'm still trying to confirm as much as possible in-game so I haven't finished it quite yet. Hopefully I'll get it finished within the next couple of days. Also, I've made a little todo list to see if I can keep myself on track. If you're willing to help with any of the information gathering, please email me. Oh yes, and a happy new year to all of you out there. December 22, 2004:
Updated the Jobs/Monk page with skill information now. Thanks to Akemi, and her Monk Guide for obtaining information on some of the skill delays and atk formulas.December 21, 2004:
Had an error in the menu, fixed it so it should appear correctly in both Mozilla and IE. Redesigned the main page slightly and also added something else so I could easily update the updates server-side, and older updates would automatically go to the archive file on the history page. I checked every page in Mozilla/IE to make sure there were no errors, and didn't see anything but if you do find something, email me!Added an Upgrade NPC for Juno in Upgrading. I know also there are some headgear quests missing, especially those more recently from the Nifleheim update. I'll see to getting those added in the future. December 21, 2004:
I have permission from PecoPecoKid to at least put up a mirror for when his site finally bites the dust. I doubt I'll make any major changes to the site, and will try to keep everything as original as possible, other than a few minor modifications here and there. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, feel free to email me.December 19, 2004:
I'll be surprised if I come back to RO at this stage. If you are interested in taking over this site, then send me an email. Otherwise it will be gone with the new year. You'll need to be able to work with php and js. Unlike previous websites I've done, this one does not zip up nicely for your average user or I'd provide such. Thank you to everyone who has contributed corrections over the past year or so.November 3, 2004:
Fixed an issue with the World Map page. Should work well enough in Mozilla browsers again.July 12, 2004:
You'll have noticed that I haven't made any major updates in a while (although the site could use some). Well, I'm currently playing Lineage II, so my attention is focused elsewhere. I intend to return to RO, as I have done in the past, I just don't know when. Sometime after the extra slots become a reality for sure. There will be many new things for me when I do come back, so hopefully the fun will be back too (I'm an explorer at heart).June 24, 2004:
Tweaked the design of the World Map page. Should look good in IE and Mozilla browsers both now.May 30, 2004:
Recently I updated the Monsters/Hit and Flee Charts page to automatically use data from my main monster tables. This has resulted in showing up a few errors I made typing the data in. If you spot any such errors, please let me know ^^May 30, 2004:
Maps/World Map and individual map pages now work perfectly in Mozilla browsers. Unfortunately, World Map now has a small graphical issue in IE (blah).May 21, 2004:
Updated Items/Armor to Juno data.May 18, 2004:
Updated Items/Weapons to Juno data. Armor and parts of Common and Consumables left to go. I am excluding any items that I'm not sure are available in the game or am sure are not available. So far, that's 80+ items. So if you don't see (for example) an Assassin Mask or Angra Manyu or the Forbidden Red Candle then that is why!April 28, 2004:
Got a big help from Pitou today who figured out my mozilla problem wasn't with the innerHTML property, it was with what came just before it. While the menu is still useless and still uglier than hell in mozilla style browsers, a lot of the other features will now work properly (the world map is still a bit buggy, but that's it I think). Hopefully I can work out some more problems in the next few days now that the major one is out of the way.Managed to fix the menu so that it works in Mozilla browsers. /omg April 22, 2004:
Updated the Links menu and "About Links" pages.April 21, 2004:
Corrected my casting time formulas in Mechanics/Substats at the behest of Philip Mak. Seems like I always get these things upside down the first time around these days -.-April 15, 2004:
Remembered to modify the formula for calculating WeaponATK for melee weapons in Mechanics/Attacks. Added more hp/sp formula stuff to Mechanics/Substats. Seems like I'm pretty busy there lately :DApril 13, 2004:
Gravity added the hp/sp patch on Sakray today, so I've promptly tested the parameters of it as far as I can. The new formulas will now be found in Mechanics/Substats. Reference to the effects of Vit and Int on HP/SP Recovery added to Mechanics/Stats since I noticed it was missing. This patch also included the patch for Improved SP Recovery skill and yet another change to Magnificat. Details in the appropriate job skill sections.April 13, 2004:
Added the +10 SP bonus that everyone gets with the Juno patch to the Mechanics/Substats page. Modified the player Vit DEF calculation in Mechanics/Stats to "make a little more sense". Fixed up a problem with the monster list...April 12, 2004:
Updated the Cards page with Juno information. Added a Pre/Suffix column for ease of identification.April 10, 2004:
Have been researching correct names for Juno stuff. Adding it as I find it. World Map now shows Server Number when known (so you can quickly check if moving from one map to the next will cause your spell effects to be lost).April 7, 2004:
Modified the Monster List. Now you can choose to list things with all entries open or all entries closed to start.Step 4 of the maps plan is now complete. Now, while on an individual map page, you will see full descriptions of every monster present on that map (excepting those summoned by mvps). Check it out through the World Map. I seem to have my counter back up again with a reasonable number (crosses fingers). April 6, 2004:
Step 3 of the maps plan is now more or less complete. Now, while on an individual map page you can see what is through a portal by hovering over it on the map image. You can also click on the portal to take you to the corresponding individual map page (indoor maps excepted at this point in time). Check it out through the World Map.March 29, 2004:
Added what I believe to be the Juno monsters to Monsters/Monster List. There may be some wrong additions (in any case, all monsters that I have not personally seen will be marked with an asterisk as per usual). Also, be aware that there are a number of changes to monster locations in Juno and I'll be trying to track them all down when Juno is implemented (same with the major changes to Cards in Juno and the new items).Tried to fix the number on my counter to an approximate of the old value. Now annoyed. Oh well, it happens. Oh yes, the domain name rodatazone.com should be working again now. At least it does for me... Your mileage may vary. Some edits made to Mechanics/Stats in response to emails. March 27, 2004:
The server this website was on was changed less than a week ago (the owners of the server were unhappy with the service they were getting from their previous provider), so it's been unavailable since then. Hopefully it'll be stable for a lot longer this time. It may take a few days for the latest name server change to propagate around the world for my domain name, so until then, direct anybody with problems to use http://69.93.186.53/~datazone/.In other news, .RagnaINFO. is amalgamating with their friends at Emperium.org, so I've changed my link to the kRO News @ Emperium.org page. March 25, 2004:
Added dungeon maps to Maps/World. Step two.March 22, 2004:
Revised Maps/World. This is step one of the map section development.March 20, 2004:
The Swordman>Crusader Skill Tree, the Archer>Bard Skill Tree and the Archer>Dancer Skill Tree are up. This means all the 2-2 job skill trees are now done. Added them to the zip file in Skill/About Skills.March 18, 2004:
The Mage>Sage Skill Tree is up. Made Jobs/Job Paths work perfectly and cut out some junk.March 17, 2004:
The Acolyte>Monk Skill Tree is up. I don't think I want to change the names to iRO ones now. I don't like them very much right now (which is putting it mildly).March 15, 2004:
The Thief>Rogue Skill Tree is up.March 14, 2004:
Many small updates in the Mechanics section. Totally updated the job modifiers in Mechanics/Substats. Added the Fixed Stat Bonuses for all 2-2 Jobs and did a bit of background work in the Jobs section.March 13, 2004:
Many small updates in the Mechanics section. Totally updated the job modifiers in Mechanics/Substats. Added the Fixed Stat Bonuses for all 2-2 Jobs and did a bit of background work in the Jobs section.March 12, 2004:
Added information about how experience is shared in Mechanics/Experience. Need to do testing to confirm that fractional xp rewards are rounded down. Also made modifications to Mechanics/Attacks based on testing of Very damage, Double Attacks and skill modifiers.Updated Mechanics/Substats with Juno/2-2 Weapon Delays and Mechanics/Atttacks with Juno/2-2 Size Modifiers (from Mistress's Nest). March 5, 2004:
Updated mechanics information about ASpd and minATK on bows. Credits go to RaguMemo, Mistress's Nest, Dashiva and Alqua for various bits.February 28, 2004:
Replaced the old Mechanics/Combat page with the new Mechanics/Attacks page. While it is not perfect (there is a list of unknowns and probably errors at the end), it's the best I can do at the moment.February 15, 2004:
Added the Jobs/About Jobs page. Finally something for anyone who was confused about the terms I was using. Now all I have to do is make sure every page follows the same conventions!February 15, 2004:
Added the Jobs/About Jobs page. Finally something for anyone who was confused about the terms I was using. Now all I have to do is make sure every page follows the same conventions! Also updated the Jobs/1st Jobs/Swordsman and Mechanics/Substats pages based on new information about Provoke and VIT DEF from Dashiva (of the Multi Calc) and Mistress's Nest. February 14, 2004:
Small modifications to Items/Upgrading and Mechanics/Combat. Turns out the bonus damage from a dangerously upgraded weapon is actually of type "base" rather than type "bane". Revised the Priest Skills information based on information from Acolyte Maniax. Some minor changes to other skill pages (more to follow hopefully). Created a specific "Doomed Swords" section to the Items/Quests page.February 13, 2004:
Friday the 13th. Don't let any hockey players named Jason into your house today ;)Been making the usual small corrections to the site. Also revised the Acolyte Skills information based on information from Acolyte Maniax, another of those great Japanese fansites. Priests Skills next I hope, then onto Thief, Archer and Hunter.... Hopefully I can find some more good resources to help expand knowledge of the other classes. February 9, 2004:
Updated the Aspd formula in Mechanics/Substats. It does not yet work 100% with speed modifiers (potions, skills, etc), but it's as good as it gets so far. Credits go to Mistress's Nest (a Japanese fansite) for the bulk of the formula. Added the Mechanics/Status Effects page! Credits to Ragu Memo for the information.February 7, 2004:
Many small data updates. Got some of the stats for the "godly" WoE special items in, maybe I'll see some one day. Also, updated the mechanics section with what I now believe to definitely be the exact correct calculation for Crit chance in iRO.February 4, 2004:
Skill Trees/Mage > Wizard is now updated with the new style of skill tree (finally).February 3, 2004:
Items/Quests is now updated to javascript and sortable. It's also split into "types" of quests for ease of use.January 24, 2004:
Mechanics/Elements is now updated to javascript, sortable (easy to see what you can use a particular element against) and looks a bit better. Also fixed up a couple mistakes in the data while I was there.January 18, 2004:
Well thank goodness. It looks like they finally got those domain name servers configured properly for me. All pages should be working fine again. If there are any major problems, please let me know.January 17, 2004:
Items/Arrows, Items/Common, Items/Consumables and Items/Forging have been updated to javascript and sortable.Still no good word on those name servers >.< January 16, 2004:
Items/Shops has been updated to javascript and sortable. On a positive note, the problem with the page has been identified as a fault in the configuration of the new name servers. It's actually not even the fault of my web server provider, but his service provider. I can only wait for this problem to be corrected T_T January 14, 2004:
Items/Armor, Items/Cards, Items/Pets and Items/Weapons are all updated to javascript and sortable. Also, my isp is upgrading it's nameservers at the moment. This has really nerfed my webpage. I'm sure you've noticed it (or are about to!) if you are reading this. Everything should be back to normal in the next day or three. January 12, 2004:
Monster Hit and Flee page reworked in javascript. Learnt a few things about sorting in Javascript that I can hopefully apply in future.Speaking of which, updated the Maps/Map List page and reworked it in javascript. It can now be sorted. January 5, 2004:
Provided a workaround for the slow execution times on the Monster List. If you have no problems with the full list, then use that, otherwise you can view it in quarters. Now I can proceed to do this background work for all the data pages.January 5, 2004:
Long time, no internet. This is what happens when your only computer dies on you. ick.Today I'm working on website infrastructure improvements. First improvement was to turn the menu into a javascript. It should look exactly the same to everyone, but only need downloading once per visit to the site rather than once every time a page is looked at. That will save some bandwidth, giving me some more room for more content. This stuff don't come free folks ^^;; Speaking of which, the site used 17.52 GB last month. If these changes I'm working on can keep it under 20 GB, this month, I'll be most pleased. Modified the Monster List. Currently there can be problems with slow execution time on the user end, but I hope to fix that in the next day or so. I'll also be trying to add in sorting options. December 24, 2003:
Well, the page was down for a little time yet again. It's been a constant source of amazement to me and to my web server provider how far the popularity of this site has grown in the past 5 or 6 months. The first "month" was July, which was actually only a half month at most and used up 0.3 GB of bandwidth. Previous to this, the website was working off Brinkster which had a 1.5 GB bandwidth limit, but I kept exceeding it. In August, I did 2.6 GB of bandwidth. Wow, thought I. 4 GB will do it next month! Wrong, the page did 4.7 GB in September. OK, though I. 6 GB should be enough next month, I'm sure it will slow down soon. 7.25 GB in October. OK, for sure then I won't need more than 10 GB in the next month. 11.67 GB in November! Wow, 15 GB for december? Well, with only 2/3rd of the month gone, I hit 12 GB again. Unfortunately, the limit hadn't been raised yet, so the page was down for a day, but now the limit is raised to 20 GB. We (my server provider and I) are confident that this limit won't get broken this month... The page should do no more than get to 16 or 17 GB this month... But see how good our predictions have been so far? I'd just like to say again, the response has simply been amazing. Added all the Turtle Island Hat quest information. December 22, 2003:
Updated the Links section, mostly with the pages I've used as resources in one way or another to help construct this page.December 21, 2003:
Finished reworking the "found" column of every Items page. Damn that was a lot of work >.<December 14, 2003:
Started reworking the "found" column of every Items page. It will doubtless be a few days before I have them all in best shape at which time I will announce it. Until then, expect that information to be somewhat sketchy.December 14, 2003:
Prettied up the Monster List. The format of the entire list basically had to be revised and this is the current result. It's starting to look suspiciously like what other pages have done, but I can't really help that. There are only so many ways to present the data in a useful manner... Also revised the About Monsters page and the Mechanics/Monster AI pages to go with the new format. If you have any corrections on the information presented in the Monster List, please don't hesitate to email me!On a side note, I won't be tackling the locations monsters can be found in until after I have worked out my "big plan" for the maps section. It's probably going to be even more work than what I've just done, so the thought of it makes me cringe somewhat right now. But before all that, I'm going to update all the items pages with the accurate drops information. December 13, 2003:
Added in all the info I have about monster drops and monster skills to the Monsters/Monster List page. It's ugly right now, very ugly. I'm going to have to rework it so that it's a lot prettier, but 20+ hours of work has left me understandably braindead. ugh. I also have to go through and figure out where I made typos, or missed skills or whatever.December 9, 2003:
Added in the new monsters, including the Guild Dungeon monsters that won't be easily accessible until we get that Patch. Some of you may have met them in Town Invasion events however ^^I have been making small updates to items, map names, etc. in the past week too. Constantly seeking out the new stuff so I can enjoy it and write about it :) December 3, 2003:
Added the Items/Upgrading page. Credit is due to RaguMemo, a jRO fansite, for the exact dangerous upgrade bonuses and the success rates.November 25, 2003:
Got info on the new hats in. Spotted some more cards ingame. It's amazing what you don't see sometimes. Added the new boss minion monsters (the bosses can summon some new monsters if most of their old set of minions has been killed).November 21, 2003:
Wee, monster skills, new hats, new monsters (boss mobs).... Where will it end? Trying to get some up to date info to add to the pages. Keep in mind that the Monster AI page will now be a little out of date. I have no idea how the AI works with respect to how monsters use skills. lol.Revised the Mechanics/Combat page with respect to missile weapons since it came to my attention that it was wrong. November 13, 2003:
Revised the Archer>Hunter Skill Tree. Added the Mechanics/Monster AI page and updated the Monsters section with my new AI terms.November 10, 2003:
Revised the Merchant>Blacksmith Skill Tree.November 9, 2003:
Revised the Swordsman>Knight Skill Tree.November 8, 2003:
Revised the Thief>Assassin Skill Tree (again) and figured out how to save enough more size on the picture files without any loss of quality. Now 1/10th of the original size O.oNovember 7, 2003:
Revised the Acolyte>Priest Skill Tree one more time. The text on it is far clearer, the numbers are placed a little more intuitively (I hope) and the file size has halved (best of all). I hope to follow up with the other five trees for 2-1 jobs in the next week.November 4, 2003:
Added the skills and usable equipment info to the Priest Job page.November 2, 2003:
Added the skills and usable equipment info to the Knight Job page.November 1, 2003:
Added the skills and usable equipment info to the Assassin and Hunter Job pages. These are the jobs about which I feel I have the least definite data. Any filling in of blanks would be appreciated ^^October 31, 2003:
Added the skills and usable equipment info to the Blacksmith Job page.October 30, 2003:
Added the skills and usable equipment info to the Magician Job page. Please note that I do not have _all_ the information for all skills. If you believe you have information that I do not, especially if you can prove it, please feel free to email me.October 28, 2003:
Finished the Novice Job page. If you can think of anything else that should go on this page, let me know. Going to be working on the rest of the job pages over the next few days with the aid of Dashiva's skill guides in the class forums on ro.koselig.net (yes, he doesn't have quite all the info yet, but it's a damn fine job so far). Added skills and usable equipment info to the Acolyte, Archer, Merchant, Swordsman and Thief Job Pages.October 26, 2003:
Added a colour code to the skill names on the skill trees. Not entirely happy with how it turned out. May have to redesign...October 19, 2003:
A few small item updates and reworded some card descriptions to get the wording consistent. Added the Energy Coat information to the Jobs/1st Jobs/Magician page.October 5, 2003:
Did some work in the items section. All quest items from the Quests page and all items from the old Useless page are now on the Items/Common page. The old Miscellaneous page is now Items/Consumables. Added an Items/Forging page.October 4, 2003:
Updated the forging notes on the Jobs/Blacksmith page with the "latest" information.September 30, 2003:
Have been updating the server information on the Maps/Map List page. There is still a number of maps that need to be checked, but it's going well.September 24, 2003:
Updated and revised the Mechanics/Elements page. Credits to ragnarok cards and www.tujige.info/ro for verification of the information (they agree with each other and both are more up to date than the official website). Some other minor clarifications and touchups around the place.September 23, 2003:
Added the Monsters/Hit and Flee Charts page.September 22, 2003:
I've updated the Monsters section with the new information for Comodo. As before, I have used the information from www.tujige.info/ro which is an excellent site for jRO. While jRO has Monster Skills, Guild Dungeons and Turtle Island, the monsters that are available to us at the moment should be almost exactly the same (I didn't include any of the monsters that can't be found in iRO yet). I'll write up monster hit and monster flee tables after my fingers stop hurting.September 18, 2003:
There have been a lot of changes to healing items in Comodo. I've verified some of them and updated the Items/Miscellaneous page accordingly. As always, the healing values I give are from data gathered ingame and as such, may not represent the full range of possible values. Milk is now the best healing item per weight and per cost (beating out the old favorite, the Sweet Potato). In addition, Vit now gives +2% healing per point rather than +1% healing per point. Very nice.September 17, 2003:
Added the Items/Arrows page. Added information about the way the monster "crit shield" works to the Mechanics/Substats and Mechanics/Combat pages.September 15, 2003:
More unlisted Comodo changes:
September 10, 2003:
More item updates. Thinking about creating an entirely separate Arrows page with all the arrows (there are a lot of different types now) and all the different ways you can craft them. Might be good.Reordered some of the text tables that had gotten a bit disorderly with updates. Now more alphabetical. September 5, 2003:
More item updates, mostly the new arrows that archers can create with their Arrow Crafting Skill.August 31, 2003:
Added Merchant Skill Quests to the Jobs/First Jobs/Merchant page, the Acolyte Skill Quest to the Jobs/First Jobs/Acolyte page and the Novice Skill Quests to the Jobs/Novice page. Also some more new items listed here and there (as usual).August 30, 2003:
Still adding in Comodo stuff/old stuff to the pages as I spot them ingame. Some other Comodo changes: * Royal Jelly from Vitata. Just something I never knew or is it new? Sure makes getting those 5 Royal Jelly easier O.o * The 10 level party sharing rule has come into affect. Woohoo! :) August 28, 2003:
Made some comodo related updates in the items section (I've been playing on Sakray natch).Notable changes that aren't mentioned on the official website: * Vit Nerf: As you get hit by more and more monsters, your vit defense works less and less. Monsters that were doing 1s a moment ago can start really hurting you in big hordes. * Novice Armlets and Belts in. Slotted accessories for all! Well, all except anyone lower than level 25 and not a Novice. And of course, Belts are inferior to Clips due to being really heavy and not giving +10SP. * Concentration Potion, Awakening Potion and Verserk Potion are in. These allow you to attack faster and last for 30 minutes. There are restrictions on use past the Concentration Potion (see Items/Miscellaneous for details). * Steel Arrows sold in Comodo. Atk bonus on them reduced to 30, but now they cost 2z and merchants can buy them for 1z. Effect: 5 Atk boost for Archers, Hunters and Bow Thiefs. * The skill quests. Some are dead easy to complete, others are hard. 5 Royal Jelly (only dropped by Anolian and Mistress!) for a swordsman skill? Ouch. Not to mention, these quests require up to job level 35 to access. It's not going to be easy getting some of the better skills... * The bosses got a lot more hps now and better drops. Hatii/Garm is now an MVP (doubtless Stormy Knight is too). * You can buy warps to Comodo from most Kafra Employees. * Rare ores drop from lower level monsters now. Rough Elunium from ants, Rough Oredicon from Drainliar, etc. August 1, 2003:
A user has provided me with a fix for my javascript menu above that will enable it to work in Netscape (and hopefully Mozilla, Konqueror, etc) as well as IE. It won't look as pretty as in IE tho. I'll give the user credit as soon as he tells me what name he wants to be known as here.July 18, 2003:
Couple of corrections by Dashiva. Thanks man.July 17, 2003:
Produced interim Items pages (all) and interim Mechanics/Experience, Maps/Map List and Monsters/Monster List pages for the new format. No searching or sorting for anything as yet, but the data is there. This means the website has roughly the same content as before and is therefore ready to go live. If you've been holding off telling your friends about this website before now, hold off no longer!July 6, 2003:
Domain name gotten. Links updated. Been working on an "Administrative Back End" that will make it easy for me to keep the site updated. If the page looks funny at any stage, I probably messed with the style sheets. Pressing Ctrl-F5 (in IE6 at least) will force the page and any related files to reload, thus making everything beautiful again.June 24, 2003:
As you can see, I actually did something with this page. I redesigned and rewrote and other less enjoyable things. Now prettier, now more useful, now chewing less bandwidth, now with more bandwidth to chew. The only thing I need now is to get a domain name to stick it too. That's coming up.May 24, 2003:
Added Ragnarok Online [ Dynamic database ] to the links page. It serves a purpose similar to that of my own, but with some differing content. It can be viewed in either English or French.April 27, 2003:
Added .RagnaInfo. to the links page. They translate the changes posted for Korean RO, making them a good source for official information on the future of iRO.April 24, 2003:
An update to the About Mechanics page. It was pointed out that a description of conventions used in my algorithms was lacking (in not so many words).March 26, 2003:
Another minor update. Just a bit more database stuff and fixed up the merchant and priest job bonuses (thanks to Kageno).I don't expect to add any major features for a while now as I'm taking a break from much playing. Admitedly, I'll probably regret that with the enforced time off coming up (doh), but them's the breaks. Since I'm supposed to be studying Website Design, Perl/CGI, PHP and SQL right now, I hope to be able to make the page even better in the future. But I can't do that if I'm playing the game and maintaining the website 24x7. My next big goal is to update all the map pictures in my maps section to the newer style maps that came with closed beta 1. After that, I need to carefully normalize the database. Once that is done, I'll be able to rework the design of each page to bring you information by map and other useful features. It will also help me to create better search engines for each page and indeed one for the entire site. Finally, I will be able to work heavily on the Job pages, writing up skills information, tables of all weapons and armors used by an individual class and the quests required to enter each job. Of course, my overarching goal has always been to get the best possible data. This means that I will doubtless always be working to improve on the item and monster databases. March 23, 2003:
A minor update. Just some modified database info and a clarification of Def and MDef for monsters.March 13, 2003:
Produced a skill tree for Acolyte>Priest that can be found in the Skill Trees section. As this is the last of the Skill Trees, I have added a zip file of the lot that can be found on the Skill Trees-About page. Also updated the Job Paths page in the Jobs section to include pictures of the so called 2-2 Job Classes. Keep in mind that none of these classes are implemented in any servers yet. We just have pictures of what they will look like.March 12, 2003:
A quick hack job to add some searchability and sorting to the monster section of the site. This applies to the all and normal pages only. God help you if you need to search the single screen boss page ^^ Should be useful.March 11, 2003:
Well, I've been reaching the bandwidth limit for accounts on brinkster more often of late, so I need to look at ways of improving that. The most obvious way is to throw some money at that, but since I don't have my own credit card (my brother handles that stuff usually), it isn't so easy to arrange an ongoing payment. Hopefully I can resolve the situation to my satisfaction within the next couple weeks. Please be understanding of my bandwidth limit until then ^^Other than that, I've remembered to add in the monster vs player side of things to my mechanics-combat section and I've modified the mechanics-elements page to reflect the recent changes. You'll note that Wind vs Water and Holy vs Undead is slightly weakened now, while Poison has been noticeably improved. March 9, 2003:
Produced a skill tree for Magician>Wizard that can be found in the Skill Trees section.March 8, 2003:
Produced a skill tree for Archer>Hunter that can be found in the Skill Trees section.March 5, 2003:
Added information on the costs of Kafra Teleport Service and locations in the Items - Shops section. Added Information on the Special Reserve Points item "quest". Check it out! Added an update history, since this page was finally getting a bit long. Now only missing 4 dungeon maps from my server information. These are alde_dun04 (Clock Tower B4F), c_tower4 (Clock Tower 4F), in_sphinx5 (Sphinx), gl_dun02 (The Lowest Cave in Glast Heim). Additionally I need information on job_thief1 (Mushroom Farm) and any Swordsman Quest maps. If you get any information, please pass it on to me at iamsouma@hotmail.com.For those of you wondering how to get the server information, here is how:
I will pass the info on to all server watch pages I know about (Midgaard Online's RO SV Info and Planet-RO so far) and include it in my Maps Master List. March 4, 2003:
Implemented what server information I have on the Maps List.March 3, 2003:
Added quite a bit of new information to the database (as usual), including most of the information on what drops what etc. item. Soon to be included in the Maps Master List, servers! I got 95% of the info, I just need to implement it on the page.February 28, 2003:
Produced a skill tree for Thief>Assassin that can be found in the Skill Trees section (the smallest skill tree of all classes, no wonder Assassins feel jipped).February 27, 2003:
Added an Experience page (for player character levels) to the Mechanics section. Credit goes to Toyo Ragnarok Online for the information.February 25, 2003:
Some slight corrections, thanks to Dashiva.February 24, 2003:
Produced a skill tree for Merchant>Blacksmith that can be found in the Skill Trees section.February 23, 2003:
Added a bunch of details to various pages (prices, new items, etc). It's more work than you'd think O.o Also started a Pets page in the Items section.February 22, 2003:
Taking the opportunity provided by the evil downtime to produce the skill trees that I've wanted to do for a long time. Swordsman>Knight is the first of these to be finished.February 21, 2003:
Upgraded the Shops and Quests pages with asp code, more information, better format.February 20, 2003:
Added info for where weapons can be found (and with how many slots) to the Weapons page. Updated the Blacksmith forging info on the Blacksmith Job page. Updated the Consumables page with information on where each can be found (some data still missing or uncertain).February 18, 2003:
Fixed a typo on Elements page. Edited the combat page like crazy as new info came in (still some things yet to do). Added info for where armors can be found (and with how many slots) to the Armor page.February 13, 2003:
Added Combat and Elements pages to the mechanics section.February 12, 2003:
Apparently I reached the download limit on this website yesterday. First time it has happened so I guess the word is starting to trickle out. Starting to think about upgrading my Brinkster account so I can support more visits and do more things. Added a massive great page on SubStats in the Mechanics section. Sure it isn't the 12th now, but it was when I started...February 11, 2003:
Updated the Links page with a bunch of good new links. Added a Stats page to the Mechanics section. Added a Hit and Flee page to the Monsters section (for required values for 100% hit and 95% flee vs monsters).February 10, 2003:
A lot of new information in the Monster Section. Credits to Tujige for all that. Hit, Flee, vit, int scores for monsters are all things I haven't really seen anywhere else (except ragnarokclub for the hit and flee).February 9, 2003:
Some changes in the Weapons and Armor listings. Another Comodo Change:Drops of slotted items seems to have gone way down. Hunted Sohee in Payon 4 for like 20 hours and got no slotted Stilleto (although every source says they do still drop them). Hunted in Culvert 4 for 10-15 hours and got 1 Slayer and 2 Blades from the Male and Female Thief Bugs. That's all way down compared to the rates I'm used to on the normal servers and Sakray has 2x drop rate! January 9, 2003:
Still working on converting more pages to searchable ones. Weapons and Cards are now searchable. As always, new information for the database coming in all the time. Added a new link in the links section. Belated credits to Tujige for much monster related information that would be extremely hard to procure otherwise. I'll be including more of it as time passes.January 7, 2003:
Working on converting more pages to searchable ones. Map Master List is now searchable, but there as some problems (as there are with the Armor list search function).January 6, 2003:
Completed everything in the Map Master List. May add info for presence of boss/aggressive/looting monsters.January 2, 2003:
Added job status bonuses to all the job pages. Credit goes to for the bulk of the second class information which tallies with the small amount of work I had done. There may be some small inaccuracies.December 30, 2002:
Got the armor page converted over to ASP. Now you can search and sort the page nearly as much as you'd like.December 18, 2002:
Converting all tabular html information to database information. This will allow me to make it searchable. Naturally it has been taking a while.August 5, 2002:
Finished cleaning up the HTML that I have at the moment. This helps by making my code easier to revise and by reducing the overall size of the website (a very few pages are slightly larger, but most are smaller by up to 20%).August 3, 2002:
Well the International Servers for Ragnarok Online are now officially out of server for the next few months (up to 3 they said), so I won't be able to update this site with in-game information for a good long time. Final updates from in-game information include some more map master list, monster and item info. Also, a tiny bit of Knights info based on what I garnered in the final minutes of play time >_<I'll try and get the game mechanics, maps, jobs and skills pages ready for when iRO comes back up. May I perservere through this time ^^ August 1, 2002:
Externalised the bulk of the javascript on the website, bringing down the average page size. More monster, item and map master list info.July 31, 2002:
Added a lot of Monster info due to Sense screenshots from my friend Uschi. More item info as usual. Added in Skill Trees as it's own section. Working on a maps Master List. Corrected some Job Path info. Seems like Alchemist, Dancer and Crusader will be 2nd jobs, not 3rd... Of course, Sorceror is definitely a 3rd job. So looks like there will be lots of choice eventually ^^July 29, 2002:
Finished the reworking to support the external cascading style sheet. This has naturally lead to some improvements in the design of some of the earlier pages. Now everything is lovely and uniform. And if I don't like it, I can change it ^^ Also added a Gifts page to the item section. A bit trivial, but I realised I had missed some collectables like Dolls out of getting some special attention ^^ Added the Skill Trees section, but nothing substantial in it yet. Wrote up an "about" page for each section.July 27, 2002:
Reworking the pages to support an external cascading style sheet. Have also added some normal monster info and more item information (as usual). The Aldebaran hat quest guy is back, so I guess I need to find out his exact location ^^July 24, 2002:
Adding more item information as usual. Still heaps of items out there to see with my own two eyes (screenshots from the international version would be good too ^^)..July 23, 2002:
I got to Aldebaran and all that was there was a few npcs. There are no shops and the hat quest guy is currently taken out until the bug with him is fixed... So don't bother going there unless you simply must find out the names of the Kapra's Staff that work in the warehourse >_<July 22, 2002:
All buyable Armor and Weapons have been included in their respective pages now, including the newly re-added stuff from the Prontera Nun. Added a few more cards, consumables, etc. I'm sure those last 3 will take me a long time to complete.July 21, 2002:
Still working on the entire Item section. Added information to Armor, Cards, Consumables, Etc. and Weapons pages. Ongoing tweaks to names of areas in the map section as I learn the best names for them.July 20, 2002:
Add information to Armor, Consumables, Etc., Quests and Weapons pages. Finished Shops page (except for Aldebaran). Added room for a Server Map.July 19, 2002:
Shops and Quests (items) pages largely completed. Only Aldebaran left to go. Server map page added. Server map not yet in.July 18, 2002:
Shops and Quests (items) pages added to Items section.July 17, 2002:
World Map added.July 16, 2002:
Menus and pages for Outdoors, Dungeon and City maps added. No actual maps yet tho (short of thumbnails).July 15, 2002:
Pretty javascript cascading menu added.July 14, 2002:
Basic page layout complete. |
